Rabbi Hantman joined Temple B'nai Chaim in July of 2011 and is serving as the synagogue's first full-time educator, giving the religious school a reinvigorated focus and bringing with her 20-plus years of experience in synagogue education.

Shoshana grew up in Philadelphia and attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a bachelor's degree in history, and Temple University, where she earned a master's degree in education.  Rabbi Hantman was ordained in 1989 by the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and has held several pulpits since that time.  Rabbi Hantman’s focus has primarily been on expanding opportunities for Jewish education.  Presently Rabbi Hantman lives with her husband, attorney Richard Weill, and their teenagers Mollie and Isaac, in Somers, New York.
