menorah lighting It is the goal of our Religious School to teach our children, with joy and dignity, the wealth of knowledge that is their Jewish heritage. Through books, hands-on experiences, celebrations and dedicated teachers, they learn about our holidays, traditions and heritage. Arts & crafts, music, dance and special programs enrich the curriculum and help the children learn to value and honor themselves as individuals and as members of the Temple and the Jewish people. They learn, through responsibility and a sense of caring for others, how to be compassionate and helpful.

arts and crafts Weekly Hebrew classes teach our children to read and understand the prayerbook and provide an introduction to Hebrew as a living language. Preparation for Bar and Bat Mitzvah is arranged on an individual basis. Religious training for young adults is encouraged through pre-confirmation and confirmation classes. Many of our post-confirmands continue to be active in our school as aides and assistants. For our pre-schoolers, we have a “Jr. Chai” Program which meets twice a month throughout the year. Here the children learn the meanings and symbols of the holidays through stories, songs and crafts.

Our school is committed to teaching our children and developing a sense of self-worth, belonging and caring for others. It is a joyful place!
